Sea Of Cortez - Baja California

This month-long odyssey in Baja California, Mexico, took us into waters warmer than those of Norway to explore the region’s abundant biodiversity. The dives were full of encounters, despite limited visibility in some areas due to the season and thermocline effects. Our guide, a former shark fisherman turned marine guide, showed how initiatives like this can help protect marine areas and support biodiversity conservation. During the expedition, we focused on underwater photography, capturing images to enrich a growing marine portfolio and document the diverse species we encountered. Some of the data collected were shared with local scientific associations studying the ecology of these fascinating creatures. Even with the challenges, we managed to capture a few images that reveal the delicate ecosystems and remarkable animals thriving in these waters.
